Silent Night in Algona

  • Camelot Theatre Foundation 1114 6th Street Nevada, IA, 50201 United States (map)

Join us at the Camelot Theater for this special Veterans Day showing as we honor those who have served and reflect on a powerful story of resilience, sacrifice, and the bonds that unite us.

SILENT NIGHT IN ALGONA is an unforgettable Iowa story of courage, compassion, and the power of humanity during wartime.
Based on remarkable true events, Silent Night in Algona takes us back to small-town Iowa in 1944, during the final years of World War II.

When a local farmer struggling with a back injury turns to German prisoners of war to help save his harvest, an unlikely connection begins to form. Against a backdrop of wartime tensions, cultural differences, and uncertainty, the spirit of Christmas brings an unexpected message of hope, forgiveness, and shared humanity.

Filmed in Iowa and inspired by Iowa history, this moving drama reminds us that even in the darkest times, kindness can bridge the deepest divides.
